Loving Life

Sorry I haven't blogged in a while.. I have been thinking about it... but just couldnt think of stuff to write about.. but here I am.. still not quite sure, but will hopefully entertain you!

Yesterday, about 15 of us took to the pavement for our Watoto house, and did a sponsor walk. We walked 15miles.. from Putney all the way to Greenwich! Did you know that 15miles is actually about 25klms?? I didnt know that until a day before! It was so great.. I emailed my sponsor form around the office, and raised about £150! I guess there are some benefits in working in an office where most people earn about 3 times more than I do!! All up, if all goes to plan, we would have raised about £900! Praise God I say! Even though my butt is a tad sore today, it was sooo worth it! We are getting closer and closer to our £8000 goal, and a house for these kids! We're now nearly half way! So awesome!!

Life is good at the moment.. its so great to finally learn how to live in the NOW, when so much is coming up tomorrow. I could so easily just live in the future - waiting for the big stuff to come up.. but then I just lose out on the blessings of TODAY. For example - going to Africa, moving back to Oz, growing up and settling down are all things that are happening next year, and I am so excited at the thought of a new season/chapter in my life, but what about now? I am making some amazing friendships, just meeting all these people as we fundraise for our house.. church is just moving up and up - so much changing, it feels like we are moving to the next level - of maturity almost.. but so great to be apart of it. Our very own Hillsong Conference is in 11 days! 11DAYS! So amazing! I cant wait to see how many lives are going to be changed through this... hopefully mine also!
And the friends that I have got at the moment here in London. So amazing. Friendships that I know are going to go the distance.. I can see the flights, holidays and wedding invites in NZ and South Africa that I will not be missing in the years to come! These girls know who they are, and know that I love them and appreciate them!

So there you go.. I guess I had a bit to say after all! Most of it really for me.. but oh well..
